Situated on the magnificent cliffs overlooking the Indian Ocean within the Mossel Bay region of the Western Cape, this contemporary coastal home boasts unparalleled views of the rock formations and ocean views of the prestigious Pinnacle Point Estate.

The demanding topography guided the design of a multi-levelled structure, planned to respect the natural ground level without disrupting the landscape’s integrity, especially given the extensive presence of the rocky formations.

Connecting the garages to the living spaces and master bedroom is a striking cantilevered concrete screed staircase, seemingly suspended, while guests are welcomed through a private courtyard, offering a direct transition into the living spaces through large glass sliding doors that frame the distant ocean views.

Carefully selected natural elements such as dry-packed slate, off-shutter concrete, and Garapa timber decks create a striking contrast against the clean lines and bold geometric forms.

This bespoke design represents a contemporary and refined aesthetic, seamlessly harmonizing with its beautiful surroundings.
